S26 E5 – Febru-what?

This might be the first year ever when January has actually flown by. Most years January feels like it lasts for about eight months and then the rest of the year flies by. Not this year. I’m not sure if it’s because Christmas fell on an odd day last year or what, but January disappeared and it’s already February.

I feel like this month I’ve made some positive steps forwards. I’ve got back into a proper exercise routine and I’ve cut back on the sweet treats and snacks (after finishing the Christmas chocs of course). As a result I’ve dropped about 5lbs. It’s a good start towards getting rid of the weight I put in during the pandemic and getting back to a place whereI’m happier with my weight.

I think I’m starting to notice a difference in my skin too. I’m starting to see a bit more of a glow. Back in November I almost literally looked grey. My skin looked dull and tired and old. I know it takes time for skin to renew and particularly for certain active ingredients to make a difference, but hopefully I’m on the right track.

I have also found a shampoo that has done wonders for my hair. The Ouai shampoo I bought a trial sample of in December has given my fine hair volume, has made it shinier and easier to style. Who knew that fancier shampoos might actually be worth it? Probably rich people…

And that was all just month one. Let’s see what February has in store!
